The Minister of Public Works has arranged for seventy men to be transfer red from the Okailmu-Rangiahua and Tango wall ine railway construction work at Arapuni immediately. Necessary preparations are now being made at Arapuni, to accommodate an increased staff and the Public Works Department will arrange the transfer without delay.

Glassford Glover Walter Grey, 21, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day to the carnal knowledge of a girl under 16 and was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence. Bail was not sought.
