TOURNEY, (By Telegraph—Per Press Association AUCKLAND, January L'P The second day’s piny in the Dominion Bowling Tournament singles was favoured with splendid, weathei. although a fairly strong hree/.e made howling difficult at times. • With hot sunshine, the Carlton green, where the players were consolidated, after Die third round, rolled out in great running order. Clarke (Carlton), who was much fancied, was eliminated after two Hard struggles against two wcH-kpnwn exponents ot the game, W alker and 1 ai sons. Buchan (Balmacewan) put up a great light, only being put out in the last round by Alnston (Auckland.) Both Walker and Parsons played well, and the latter, with two lives, must stand a good chance. The following players remain in; Parsons (Ponsonbv), two lives; Winston (Auckland,) Bell •Junr. (Hamilton), Rummer (Auckland), .Walker (Auckland), one life each. Walker won the title when the tournament was played at Auckland m 1 91.75, 1919, and 1923. The pairs tournament commences tomorrow, and the rinks on Friday. The singles will be continued next week.
