COMMERCIAL
WOOL SALES. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) NAPIER, January 12. Bidding at the 1 second Napier wool sales this morning was more spirited than at the December auction, but buyers appeared to, be operating on stricter limits, and when the first two catalogues had been disposed ot, it was apparent that values tor all classes offering were about on a par with those at YY'ednesday’s sale in Wellington. The attendance of buyers was fully representative, with Bradford making most of the running on average fleece wool, with occasional Continental opposition. American buyers appeared confined to super wools. A large proportion of the offerings at the commencement of the sale were sold at tlie values offering, though one or two whole lines were passed. The offering totalled nearly 18,000 hales and was nine thousand below the quota and showed a decrease of four thousand odd bales on the second Napier sale last year.
