ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 7. Prices generally fell to-day at Addington live stock market. There was a large yarding of lambs of average quality. There was a sharp decline in prices. Extra heavy prime lambs sold to 21b lOd, prime 17s to 19s, medium 14s Cd to 16s 6d, light from 12s.
There was a largo yarding of fat sheep. There was a decided drop on the previous rates. Best heavy wethers sold to 20s lOd, prime heavy 14s to 20s lOd, prime medium 14s to lbs 6cl, good 12s to 13s Gel, light from 10s to 11s. Best heavy ev.es sold to 13s Gd, prime 10s Gd to 12s Gd, medium 8s Gd to 9s Gdl, light Gs Gd to 7s Gd, aged 3s to 6s.
There was a medium yarding of store sheep. There was, a decline on previous rates. Best forward iape lambs sold to 8s Gd, others from 3s 3d; two-tooth wethers to 7s, best ewes and lambs 7s, two-tooth ewes to 13s 2d, I>est sound-mouth ewes in forward condition 10s 4d, aged ewes from SB. Four hundred head of fat cattle were yarded, Many good steers of saleable weights were penned, but few good cows or heifers, Values "'ere a shade easier- The market was sound, however, and extra heavy steets sold to £l9 7s 6d, prime £l4 10s to £ls 10s, medium £9 to £ll 10s. light from £7, extra heavy cows sold to £l2 IDS prime £7 to £9, medium £5 to £7 10s, plain from £3 10s. Best heifers sold to £l4 2s Gd, prime heifers £9 to £lO 15s, medium £7 to £8 10s, plain from £5 ss. Store cattle were easier.
There was a light yarding of fat piss. Late rates were maintained, with an easing tendency at the closing stages. Medium pokers fetched £2 to £2 "lOg heavy £2 8s to £2 15s, baeonors £2 18s to £3 Is, heavier to £3 6s 6d, ch'opers £3 13s to £4 8s Gd. Store pigs were firm at Into rates.
