Wellington continued 'their second innings with three wickets down fqn 51, requiring 383 to win. A. strong nor -west wind marred the conditions? l'he weather was warm, similar conditions having prevailed throughout'. McGirr and James faced the bowling of Crumb and Talbot, but after a couple ol overs Merritt took over from Talbot. He was in turn replaced by Cunningham.
