RADIO PROGRAMME
(Supplied by the Radio Broadcasting Company of N.Z. Ltd.) SATURDAY, DECEMBER 27th. The Auckland Municipal Band under the eonductorship of Mr Hal. McLennan will present another of their popular concerts in the Auckland Town Hall, and this will be relayed by IYA. Featured on this programme will be the public appearance of Mr Jock Lockhart, Scottish entertainer from Christchurch. The vaudeville programme from 2YA will feature the Salon Orchestra. Miss Leah Johnston, a young Master ton mezzo-soprano, will sing several light ballad numbers. Maori songs and ballads will be featured by Mr Noho Toki and Mr Geo. Nell will be heard in'bass-baritone solos. Mr Elliott will sing several of the latest popula'r hits and Air and A'lrs Ransom Alyers will entertain with humorous duets. Suitable incidental music will be played by the Salon Orchestra. There will be several noteworthy features about 3YA’s programme. Air Roy Hill, the well known. 2YA tenor, will bo singing, also Aliss Belle Reliant, now. of 2YA but previously a very popular 3YA vocalist. Bass solos will be sung by Air Leslie Fleming. A new instrumental trio—Aliss Thelma Cusack (violin), Aliss Alarjorie Chapman (’cello) and Air Fred Page (piano) will be playing. Air AY. Hay will play two flute solos and a violin solo will be contributed by Aliss Cusack. Aliss Elaine Moody’s ■ Hawaiian Quartet with - guitars and ukuleles, will play popular airs, with vocal refrains by Miss Aloody. For Dunedin’s contribution to the week-end entertainment of New Zealand, items will be contributed by Aliss T. C. Blackman (soprano), Aliss Irene Horniblow (contralto), Air B. C. Bellhouse (baritone), Aliss Pennie Alarshall (elocutioniste), Miss Eva Judd (violiniste), Mrs C. Drake (pianiste) and an instrumental trio (Afisses Judd, AJoffatt and Holmes).
