BOXING

FAIRHALL wins. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association. 1 WESTPORT, Dec. 26. In the 15 rounds professional contest between Tommy Fairhall (Australia), and Ted Morgan (New Zealand), the former won, on a knockout in the 13th round. The fight, which attracted a record house, was brimful of interest. Fairhall was too (select for Morgan, and he gradually wore his man down with bodv punches, and in the last round finished him off with a right uppercut. Morgan put up a good fight, however and he helped to make it a really interesting contest. He was a bit unlucky not to last the distance. In a 10 round professional contest. Dave Richardson l>eat Kid Smith on r foul in the seventh round. The former was leading on points.
