There were seven pens of store sheep forward, but there were no quotable lots.

The fat" sheep-sale was irregular, though late rates wer© in evidence. Extra prime heavy wethers sold to 25s lOd, prime heavy 2-2 s 6d to 23s 6d, medium 19s to 21s 6d 3 light from 14s 6d; extra heavy ewes to 20s lOd, prime ewes 17s to 19s, medium 15s to 16s 6d, light from 11s 6d to 14s, inferior from 9s.

The fat lambs were a shade extra with a fair choice of lots. Extra pi'inie heavy lambs sold to 26s 7d, ' prime 20s 6d to 235, medium 18s Cd to 20s, light from 15s 6d. There was a small yarding of fat cattle, but it was sufficient to fill requirements. Best quality were firm and average lots were at late rates. Extra, heavy steers sold to £l9 7s 6d, prime £ls to £l6 10s, medium £lO 5s to £l2 10s, light £9 5s to £lO 15s; extra heavy cows to £ls 7b 6d, prime £7 10s to £9 10s, medium £6 to £8 ss, unfinished from £3 10s. Extra heavy heifers sold to £l4 12s 6d, prime £lO to £ll 15s. medium £7 15s to £8 15s, plain from £6 15s. There was a. small yarding of fat pigs. Handyweight pork was firm. Heavier sorts and baconers were on a par with late rates. Medium pork sold 40s to 455, heavy to 555; light bacon 56s to £3 Is, heavier to £3 6s fid; choppers from £3 12s to £4 8s 6d. Store pigs were at late rates.
