ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report: There was-a small attendance of buyers at the special Xmas sal© at the above yards yesterday, when we sub mitted 33 head of fat cattle for competition. There was a preponderance of cow beef in the market which Bob' very cheap and for best ox bee butchers were only inclined to at from 38s to 40s per hundred, at which prices vendors were prepared tr meet the. market. We quote prices as follows Prime medium ox 38s to 40s heavy 3os to 375, good 3T to 365, and cow beef from 27s to 3Cs per hundred. We sold as follows: —On account o W. Bond 1 vealer at 40s; on account of J. W. Graham 1 cow at £7 12s 6cl 2 heifers at £B, 1 at £6 17s 6d. 2 .at £6 15s; on account of W. A. Jamieson 2 bullocks at -£l3 15s, 2 at £l- - 6d 1 at £l3 17s 6d, 2 cows iAt £9. 1 bullock at £ll 2s 6d, 1 cownat £9. 2 at £7 2s 6d, 2 at £7 7s 6d, 2 at £8 19 S 6d, 2 tat £7 12s 6d, 1 heifer at £7 17s 6d, 1 bullock at £l4 2b 6d, 1 at £l3 17s 6d, 8 at £l3 10s.
