NELSON, December 17. Speaking at tlie Nelson group of Toe H., the Governor-General, said that as the result of the cold temperaT ture research work undertaken by the Imperial Agricultural Research Council. and with which the Cawthorn Institute at Nelson, was also co-operat ed the New Zealand fruit would be landing in England in as good a condition as if it. had only crossed the English Channel. It was estimated that at present 43 per cent, of all fruit for the English market deteriorated almost completely.on the voyage. The research work would soon prove of enormous benefit .to growers.
