A meeting •of ' the ■ players of ; the Queensland Sheffield Shield : cricket team decided to defy the Queensland Association and appoint their own selectors. The trouble dates hack to last season, when the Queensland selectors in Brisbane, insisted on choosing the team for each game by telegraph, a complete departure' from ' the practice in other State teams. The players are of the opinion that it is impossible for the Queensland selectors to keep in touch with the player’s doing and accordingly appointed three members of the team as selectors.
