HARIHARiI sale. There was a large attendance of farmers and graziers at the Harihari sale yesterday when 61 fat ewes and 213 head of cattle were penned. The fixture was remarkable for the excellent lines sent forward, outstanding pens of good forward Hereford cattle from W. Whitiskie, J. Manera and Ferguson Bros, being notable and a line of Red • Pole cross steers for A. Wall were quite in th© picture also. While competition was restricted to the best class of stores there was however demand for plainer sorts at prices that appealed to speculative buyers. W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows: For A. Gardiner 2 cows with calves at £3 l(.Ys each, steers and 1 heifer at £2. For J. Graham 1 stag at £3 10s. For A. Wall 19 Red Pole Shorthorn cross steers at £8 10s. For P. Hansen 1 dry cow at £4 2s 6d, 3 heifers at £3 10s. For W. Glass 1 heifer at £3 10s. For F. Woodham 5 steers at £3, 4 heifers at £3. For J. Manera 15 Hereford steers at £8 10s, 2 stags at £5 17s Gd, 15 passed at £8 17s Gd, 7 steers and 1 heifer at £5 11s 6d. For J. Stephens I steer at £B, 8 steers at £6 10s. For Mrs Johnson 1 cows at £9. For Ferguson Bros. 10 steers at £5, 12 heifers at £6 12s Gd passed. For W. Whitiskie 15 Hereford bullocks passed at £l3 2s fid. For a client 61 tat ewes passed at 169 Gd.
