'Swift retribution overtook two lead ers of the revolt, Captains Galen and Salinas who were executed this morning, following a court martial. Throe others were sentenced to life imprisonment.
The Minister of the Interior, mailing an announcement, reiterated that tranquility now prevails. Other messags indicate there is 'onsiderable anxiety in northern Spain duo to fears that a general strike may be proclaimed.
Conditions in tlm capital are quiet hut it is filled with troops and civil guards. An official resume of the insurrection at Jaco states the Royalist casualties were two killed and two wounded, rebels two killed and twen-ty-five wounded, in addition to five hundred prisoners.
The United Press Madrid correspondent reports simultaneous garrison uprisings were planned throughout Spain. Captain Galen urged by extremists, sprang a surprise over soon and advanced the date of Jaco :e volt, believing others would take tin' signal for a general outbreak.
