Marking the arrival of the first contingents of the “Empire Butter Fleet,” bringing a record output of butter from Australia and New Zealand, the Lord Mayor of London will make a state visit to Hay's Wharf on Tuesday next December 16th.

The cargoes from the ships will be brought in decorated barges to the wharf, where Sir Granville Ryrie (Commonwealth High Commissioner) an d oir Thos. Wilford (N.Z.. High Commissioner) will await the Lord Mayor. The ceremony of being piped over the side will be carried, out as the Lord Mayor teps on Jo a tug in recognition of the Lord Mayor being ,the Admiral of the Port of London.

The captains of the “Butter Eleet” will be presented to the Lord Mayor, who will receive from Empire dairy maids a cow modelled in butter Tor .the hospitals.
