SHORT SHI? IFT FOR LINDSEY. (United Press Asßociaifiou—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright). NEW YORK, December 7. Ex-Judge Lindsey created a scene unparalleled in the history of the church in America. When the row was started, there were dies both in trout and behind of “Throw bun out. Some women cried out “Lynch him!!” Another woman called out: “Good on you B shop old man!" Those nearest to Lindsey pulled him down. Several people seized 1 1 is legs while others pummelled his middle. The ushers and the police knight their way to Lindsey, and bundled him out through the nearest exit.
Bishop Manning remained in ttie pulpit, calling for a hymn, but the organist became so excited, that be cou.d not find the music.
During bis address, the Bishop said that those who had arranged for Lindsey’s presence would have a lot to answer for to fathers and mothers.
