'Our Own Correspondent.) WEDDING

The wedding was . celebrated on Monday afternoon in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Ross, of Miss Phyllis Dea-kin, eldest daughter-of Mr and Mrs J. Deakin of Moorhouse Street, to Mr Charles James of Hokitika. The Rev. A. K. Warren performed the ceremony.

The bride who entered the church with her father looked charming in a white georgette’ frock, ankle length, flared .gracefully, silver shoes and stockings to tone. She also wore an exquisite hand embroidered tulle veil and wreath of orange blossoms and carried a beautiful bouquet of hot house flowers.

Her sister. Miss Alice Deakin acted as bridesmaid and was attired in .lemon flora, georgette with fully flared 'skirt made with uneven hem line, which was scalloped and picot edged, ♦onion fancy hat with floral jnosy and carried a shower boiicpiet Mr J. Mclntosh of Hokitika capably filled the role of best man. The church was beautifully decorated by the friends of the bride.

After the ceremony the bride’s parents entertained a number of guests, at their residence.

Later in the afternoon the happy couple left per car for North on their honeymoon carrying with them the best, wishes of a large circle of friends.
