BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Supper at tables temptingly arranged, by Mrs Duff, assisted by Mesdames .Knowles-Smith, Reynolds, Gilthe Misses Berendt and M. PeifyV*. T? l ®-: t° ast .of the. young, lady wd'iif pfdposed by Mr Howard Reynolds, art'dld friend of the family in a happy speech of'■reminiscences. In replying Of his daughter Mr Duff expressed. her. sincere thanks for the mlraerous jand valuable gifts received he , presented to her a goldeߣ\.key to mark her majority privileges. The toast of the parents was in the hands of the Chairman and was suitably responded by Mr Huff. The birthday cake which was lit Up by 21 candles was the gift of Mr and tMw’i-H. (.Reynolds in recognition of the ,fac.t. that the late Mr and Mrs BerOrtdf: vhad been the donors of the parent’s wedding cake.
