FURTHER MASS TRIALS

“The Times’s” Rigft correspondent states: “Further moss trials are promised in Russia, The 0.G.P.U.-ites at Minsk have al'rested eighty former members df the White Russian Republic for alleged plotting, with financial assistance’from and military intervention to Britain; France and Poland, to arrange for White Russia s secession from the Soviet Union. The O.G.P.U. is also preparing three trials of engineers and technicians, and a trial of officials in connection with alleged anti-economic plots of White Russians at Nijninovgorod, and m Siberia. The White Russian plot embraces official economic establishments. The Nijnonovgorodites, mostly electricians are charged with sabotaging a power station and crippling local industry. The Siberians are charged with disorganising timber exports.
