MEAT STRIKE
~ EARLY RESUMPTION ORDERED. ("Australian Press Association! SYDNEY, December 3. Attempts to settle the meat strike are proceeding before the Industrial Commission. Both sides on this occasion have agreed to abide by the Commission's decision. SYDNEY, December 3. The decision in the meat strike of the industrial commission is that it has ordered the meat industry employees to return to work next Tuesday on the terms of the original award, and it has decided that all of the issues in the existing dispute shall be determined by the Commission at an early date. ... .The Meat Employees’ Union has been given till Friday to decide whether it will have the men back' at work on Tuesday, failing which the Commission will call upon the Union to blow cause why the present award should not be rescinded, and the Union deregistered.
