It transpires that Mr Montague Norman, Governor of the Bank of England. who left the liner Bremen at sea and returned to London, had no intention of going to America. Tie was anxious to have a farewell talk with Mr G. L Harrison, Governor of the federal Deserve system of the United States, who was sailing by the Bremen. Ho decided to accompany him to Cherbourg. where lie transferred to the Majestic.
