CONCESSIONS TO FARMERS. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 29. Tu a statement issued to-day, Hon. Mr VeitclP announced that in view of the low prices of primary products, and of other special circumstances which exist in connection with the affairs of the primary producers, and notwithstanding the urgent necessity for strengthening the finances of the Railway Department, the Cabinet has decided that no increases shall lie charged to users under Regulations 13 and 41 in the case of agricultural lime. The concession to users will amount to £53,001) per annum; while in the case of artificial manures and raw material, the concession to the users will.amount to £122.000 annually.
The statement addp that it is hoped that those who benefit will realise the urgent necessity of giving the railways the benefits of return business.
