WINNERS’ LUCK CHANGES. (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) , LONDON, November 29. , 111-luck has followed the good fortune of Prescott, the first, prize win ner of the Irish Hospital sweepstake. He was unable to' attend at Dublin to receive his cheque, as lie was attending his father’s funeral in London, his father having died suddenly during the week.
Daw.e, of Vancouver, who has won j; the second prize of over 400,000 dollars, has not sent word how his prize .should he paid to him. Its remittance to Canada presents legal difficulties, . and it is not known whether Dawe intends* to come to Ireland to collect his money.
The workshop widow who won £20,000 has also had a bereavemeiit, as her brother died on Thursday as the result of a motor accident.
