NEW PLYMOUTH. Nov. 28
Prisoners were /sentenced at the Supreme Court this morning by the Chief Justice, Sir M. Myers.
Ernest Wilfred Taylor who pleaded guilty to theft as a servant, to two years probation and pay the costs of the prosecution. William Norrin Walter, who pi cade a <r„illy to a charge of carnal knowledge, to twelve months reformative, with a special recommendation Unfavourable consideration at the expiration of six months. Charles Herbert Mahoney, who pleaded guilty to forgery, to twelve months reformative.
Campbell McDonald, who pleaded guilty to theft (three counts) to twelve months velormativc.
William Holmes, who pleaded guilty to forgery (six cliar.gr.s), and uttering (six charges), and theft of monies (six charges), to two years hard lab-
Err-dei'ick Todd, who pleaded guilty to forgery (live charges), and uttering (live charges) and theft of money, to two years probation.
Thomas Alfcal Roitterill convicted of theft by failing to account, to probation for five years, and to pa> £29 costs of the prosecution, in half yearly instalments of £5 each.
