I Received this day at 11.30 am.) SYDNEY, November 28.

Giving evidence nt the Sugar Inquiry Mr Goldfinch (General Manager of the Colonial Sugar Cay), said that the gross profits last year had been COOI 000 from which income tax of 4s Gd in the £ was deducted, amounting to •0135,225 sterling. The net profit was thus £465,775 sterling. The surplus sugar financed grntuitiouly was equivalent to a reinisson of £56,000 sterling in interest. Replying to the chairman, witness stated that dividends absorbed £730,000 sterling.
