RELIEF GRANT
SURPRISE AT ITS SAIALLNESS
AUCKLAND, Nov. 27
Mayor Baildon expresses surprise at the smallness of the Unemployment Board’s for the ’Xmas relief grant and said it meant all local bodies throughout New Zealand were invited to subscribe £12,'500 to earn £25,000. This was for too small. There w;\[s a possibility that much more money might he voted in the aggregate than was allotted, and it might come to a question of rationing. Also very little time was allowed local bodies to prepare plans and specifications and give authority for work. However, he would do'his best to take advantage of the offer. PIG BREEDERS ASSOCIATION PALMERSTON N., November 27. At the conference of Pig Breeders it was decided to form an Association for co-operative marketing in this district.
