CHEQUE ENDORSEMENT ADVOCATED. AUCKLAND, November 20. There is an opinion in Auckland that the endorsement of a cheque should form the receipt for moneys received, and the matter was brought before the Chamber of Commerce Council in a letter received front a local business house this morning. Mr A. M. Seaman said that, to enable the suggestion to be carried into effect, alterations would have to be made in the Bills of Exchange Act. The matter was referred to the executive.
