MAN KILLED BY MOTOR

(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) GISBORNE, November 21. That the death of David Clark resulted from injuries received when he was run over by a car on the main Makaraka-Matawliero road on November Ist, but that the evidence was insufficient to show by whom the car was driven, was the verdict of Coroner P. H. Harper, after lengthy evidence at the inquest to-day. On the evening of the date mentioned, Clark was found in a dying condition, with seventeen ribs broken, lying on the road. The evidence showed that deceased was intoxicated earlier in the night, and also that three cars had passed during that period when the accident occurred. Two of the cars were identified, but the drivers denied causing the fatal injuries, much of the evidence supporting their dentals.
