FOUND SHOT

A BEACH TRAGEDY. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) GISBORNE, November 21. A man named John Francfs Hills, a farmer, of Ruatoria, 45 years of age, was found dead on the Waikanae Beach this afternoon with a terrible wound in his chest and a shotgun alongside the body. Hills was married about two months ago, and, after the honeymoon, be went to reside in a house that he had built at Ruatoria. About three weeks ago the bouse and all of its contents were destroyed by fire. Hills had not been in good health for some years since bis return from the war, _ and he was very . depressed after the fire.
