A BOY KILLED.

(Received this day at 10 a.m.l SYDNEY, Nov. 22

During a terrific storm at Newcastle, Edward Jetson. aged 12, ''•ns struck dead by lightning.

Eye witnesses relate that flumes appeared to surround him. Burns extended the full length of the right side of the body.

The storm lasted less than half an hour, but the rain was so heavy ih.it the streets resembled miniature watercourses.

A forrv steamer drifted on to a mud bank. The passengers were ic-s----oued.
