A STORMY PASSAGE. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, November 15. The steamer “Gabriella” arrived 'from Wanganui at ten o’clock this morning, being two clays overdue. The delay was owing to. her having to battle against fierce gales in the Tasman. , SYDNEY MEAT STRIKE, SYDNEY, November 16. Hopes for a speedy settlement of the meat strike at Sydney were dissipated yesterday, when the representatives of the Employer’s Association unanimously agreed to fight the Slaughtermen’s Union. The employers are confident that sufficient labour will be available to resume killing at the abattoirs on Monday on the basis of the fortyeight hour week, while little difficulty in having the meat distributed in anticipated. ,
