William Sell eel, manager of Chatham National Bank was specially selected by the Directors to catch a thief who was committing speculations. Sob eel himself had been dipping info- the till for seven years. The humour of all this bothered him so that he confessed, giving the date and amount •of every theft totalling over £IB,(XX) sterling.
