CANBERRA, November 14

Tt is now stated that Mr Lang, the New South Wales Premier, secured the consent of the Loan Council to increase the conversion loan now on the market from twenty-seven millions to twentyeight millions sterling, before he brought forward his motion for the withdrawal of New South Wales from the Loan Council.

Tt is stated that Mr Lang needed £900,000 to meet maturing New South Wales securities.
