CHINESE PIRATES
SEIZE A VESSEL

HONG KONG, November 13
The Norwegian vessel Hirundo was seized on the high seas by pirates, who were travelling on her as passengers and who landed with her booty at Mirs Bay, near the famous Bias Bay. the haunt of pirates. The vessel was due at Hong Kong, to-day.
PASSENGERS EFFECTS LOOTED,
HONG KONG, Nov. 13
The Hirundo piracy was not accompanied by loss of life. Fourteen pirates seized the ship.*,Six shots were fired, a steward being wounded. The cargo was untouched. Passengers, crews, and officers effects were looted. Two Chinese were taken for ransom. Seven Norwegians, including the captain’s wife, were unmolested.
