PRINCE IN AIR.

The Prince of Wales had an half hour flight in Dox. He told Hornier he was very impressed with the comfort and vastness of the plane ancl congratulated Captain Christiansen, who is piloting Dox. The Prince flew back to London in a private machine.

The Prince of Wales, after flying from Hendon aerodrome, near London to Southampton Water to-day, was a passenger in a demonstration flight in the German flying boat Dox, which is to cross the Atlantic.
To the surprise of officials at Calshot aerodrome, near Southampton where the Dox is moored, the Prince arrived in tho nmpbibeiui machine Saw Cloud, the most powerful amphibian in the world owned by Captain Holt, a wealthy Canadian business man, The machine alighted and taxied across to the Dox where Doctor and Frau Dornier received him. On re* turning from a brief flight over the Isle of Wight it was stated that for a brief spell the Prince took full control of the Dox during the flight. The Prince, who was much impressed with the flying boat, toasted the Commander and crew and wished them success on their Atlantic flight. A short flight was later made to enable the Prince to see the vessel take off and alight on the water. The Dox is expected to leave Calshot on Friday.
