PAPANUI COLLIDES GOVERNOR GENERALS
A CONFERENCE DECISION. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association (Received this day at II a.m.) LONDON, November 4. As an outcome of the Imperial Conference dec’sion to-day, the Australian’s next Governor-General will he recommended to His Majesty by the Australian, not the British 'Cabinet.
It was Lord Sait key’s Committee on inter-Imperial relations that unanimously decided tnat the constitutional practice whereby his Majesty acts on the advice of responsible Ministers henceforth applies to GovernorsGeneral throughout the Empire, as in other matters, and the Ministers in the Dominions concerned are Ministers tendering and responsible for such advice.
