LONDON, November 2,

“Speed Cops” of America, who have been made familiar by cinematograph films, are about to become a reality in England. A special uniform ed corps consisting of one hundred officers and men, is at present being formed to deal with the offences that are -expected to arise from the new motor ing laws.

The new police w.ll be mounted on motor cycles, capable of tho highest speed.

One of the commonest offences expected to result is that due' to the liberty given to motorists by the abolition of the speed limit, namely speeding. The new law does not regard speed itself as dangerous, but tho corps will exist to check those motorists who place speed before safety.
