WOMAN’S ATTEMPT

TO JUMP FROM AEROPLANE, (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, November 2.

A married woman hired an aeroplane at Mascot Aerodrome for a short pleasure flight. The machine reached an altitude of one thousand feet. Then the woman attempted to jump out. The pilot however, struggled with her for a few minutes, and he finally decided that the only safe course was to hit her on the chin with a knockout blow, wljich was most successful. The pilot then descended and handed her over to the ambulance.

The woman told the police that she was separated from her husband, and that she wanted to commit suicide.
