BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. By Telegraph—Per Presi Association.) ASHBURTON, Oct! 20. Mrs Sarah Tresize to-day celebrated her cue hundred and first birthday having l>een born at CrOydon, England, in 1829. With her first husband. Alfred Blackburn, she landed at Lyttelton in June, 1863, in the sailing vessel Metropolis, after - 101 days voyage. Blackburn was appointed statiomn aster at Templeton in 1860 a.nd afterwards was at Rakaia for eighteen years. Mrs Tresize maintains her wonderful vitality and retains most of her faculties.,
