Trainer Scobie.is represented by .Carr id ale and Temptation in the Melbourne Cup. Mr Sojbie has already trained four Melbourne Cup winners, \iz, Clean Sweep, King lngado, Bitalli and Trivale.
The New Zealand trainer George Price is represented by Yeilmond. He previously won the Cup with Windbag. Scratching for the Derby are: Legion, Star Glint, Delwood, Sir Francis.
Quickfirer is amiss. Filial acceptors for the Cnntala Stakes are:—Mollison, Wise Force, Mystic Peak, .Parkwood, Pentheus, Prince Viol, Killarney, 'Soulton, Myann, Habaslion, Panola, Gay Mutineer, Greenhorn ugh, Rosebereon, Griouette, Snlonia. The final acceptors for the Melbourne Cup are:—Pliar Lap, Donald, Second Wind, Carradale, Shadow King, Soulton, Nadean, Some Quality, Star God, First Acre, Raasay, Veilmdnd, Muratti, Balloon King, John Buchan, Wap-illy, Delwood, Rigadoon, Temptation. Webster rides First Acre, Ashley Reed rides Soulton and W. .Tolmston rides Star God in the Clip. MELBOURNE, October 28. Shadow King has been rehandicapped Gibs for the Melbourne Oup. He now carries 8.4. Pliar Lap worked usefully at Caulfield to-day, and looks well. Regaletto ran seven furlongs in 1.34. Yeilmond did seven furlongs at half page at Flemington, and moved freely. Star God, Tragilla, and Carradale cantered. Final acceptors for the Melbourne Cup close tomorrow.
