WELLINGTON, October 28 The Legislative Council resume! at 2.30 p.m.

Electrical Power Boards and Supply Authorities Association Bill was put through all stages and passed. Wellington City and Suburban Highways construction and Hutt Rori Amendment Bill, Auckland City Council and Motuihi Island Domain Board Empowering Bill, and Hawke’s Bay River Amendment Bill were passed. The Statutes Revision Committee recommended the Lqcal Elections and Polls Amendment Bill and Properties Law Amendment Bill should not be allowed to proceed and the Bills were discharged. Destitute Persons Amendment Bill and Divorce and Matrimonial Clauses Amendment Bill were passed with amendments.

The appropriation Bill was put through all stages and passed and the Council adjourned at 5 p.m. until the ringing of bells.

Tlie Council resumed at 7.45 and after the customary valedictory speeches, the Council finally adjourned at 8.20 p.m. THE HOUSE. The House of Representatives resumed at 5.15 p.m. Amendments made by the Legislative Council in the Auckland City Council and Motuihi Island Domain Board Empowering Bill, Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Amendment Bill, and Destitute Persons Amendment Bill were agreed to. Tlie House adjourned at 5.30 till the ringing of hells, resuming again at 7.45 when tlie Speaker announced the Royal Assent had been given to the Appropriations Bill.

Alter the usual valedictory speeches the session ended at 8.40 p.m., members singing the National Anthem.
