(Received this dav o+ I‘> 25. p.m.l RUGBY, Oct. 22. t It wn<a announc'd IJro'm Downing (Street to-night that it is- the desire of the Government and Air Ministry that the inquiry into the loss of RIO] should be a public inquiry, carried out (by an independent court, with full powers to take evidence on oath They -ejpproachied Sir John Simon and he -has consented to conduct the investigation. In addition Colonel Moojbe Brabazon, who used to sit in tho Commons and took a great interest in air matters, and Professoi Inglis, professor of mechanism, and applied mechanism of Cambridge University, have been approached to act as -assessors and assist Sir J. Simon with their practical and technical ■knowledge during the inquiry. It is expected the court will hold the first sitting next week.
