ANTI-COMMUNISTS
: ACTION IN FINLAND. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) HELSINGFOR, October 20. An amazing development in the anti-Communist Campaign was witnessed when 404 men, belonging to an anti-Communist organisation known as the Lapua, voluntarily surrendered tr the authorities, and confessed to having participated in the kidnapping of Communists and the other illegal acts. A deputation from the organisation handed a list of offenders to the Min ister of the Interior, who expres his thanks and said that lie appreciated the causes for which the Lapua was created. He believed’ that the Courts would recognise that all the members had acted from patriotic motives. Only two of the men confessing to the kidnapping of Finnish Commui deputies (as cabled on July 6th) ha been detained. Anoster, the ringleader, who admitted that he had given asylum to two of the offenders wanted by police, is expected to be imprisoned.
