HERD TESTING
WEST COAST ASSOCIATION. The lirst annual general meeting o'i the. West Coast Herd Testing Association was held yesterday afternoon. Mr j. Muieare presided, and the following delegates were present.—Messrs \V. Hogg. A. Bradley, Blunt,' V\. fisher, Searle, Hi. Kirby, J. J. McKay, and the Secretary, Mr -f;.' W. Baillie. Apologies were received from Messrs W. ,J'.. inwood, A. W. Bell > H. G. Carter, T. 1\ O'Neill and M; Wallace. It was decided that the financial year of the organisation end on June jin, and 'that- the' annual meetings bo Tjel d in Jiiljr? ' it was decided that tlirde delegates from each group I'orni the management committee. It was resolved that the amended constitution of the Association as "read, be adopted. Mr Jas. Muieare was elected President of the Association for the ensuing year. Mr ri. G. Carter was elected Vice-President. Mr- A. McDonnell) was appointed auditor, and the management committee comprises fifteen guarantors. Air F. W. .Baill'o. was elected as Secretary. The Secretary, President and Vice-. President were empowered to sign cheques. The south group wan named the South Westland Group. The Northern and Middlo Groups were divided irito sub-G roups. The action of Mi 1 Hume in ordering tubs, etc., for the Ilarihari district was approved. •On the motion of Messrs Muieare and Bradley, it was decided that a letter of appreciation be suit to the Dominion Herd-Testing Association, and the Herd Testing Federation Wifllington and Hamilton; respectv ively in reference to the -splendid work prepared by Air Hume, the -organiser.
A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Messrs Ahiloare,' Carter and MeKay for their energetic work in promoting the Association.
