(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, October 17. Thre M.C.C. team left for South Africa to-day, It included three England captains, Chapman, White and Wyatt. Chapman is captaining the team, and is on his first visit to South Africa. Ss 'sard that he d d not know much about matting wickets but he considers the team the best one ever sent to Africa. Mrs Chapman is the only woman going with the team. Hcndren is the father of the party and Voce, is the baby. SYDNEY, October 19. Although yesterday’s round of grade cricket was confined to one afternoon, four teams scored victories. Gordon made 118 (Bettimrton 4 for 32), aim Paddington 190 (Frond in 3 lor 18). Paddington won on the,first innings. Petersham made 111 (Burt 4 for 27) and Western Suburbs 3 for ’B3 (Bardsley 64). Western Suburbs won on the first innings. Glebe 3 for 207 declared (Morgan 103). Wnverley lost none for 116. This game was drawn. Mosinan 5 for 185 declared. Manly 3 for 141 (Cummins not out 73.) This was drawn. Balmain at 2 for 151 declared (Langworth not out 65). North Sydney lost 5 for 157. North won on the first innings. University made 176 (Smith <9, Waghoni 4 for 44). St. George lost 5 for 168. Game drawn. Northern Districts made 118 (Russell 3 for 33). Marrickville lost 3 for 54. Game drawn. Rnndwick at 7 for 151 declared. Cumberland made 116. Rnndwick won cm the first innings. MELBOURNE, October 19. Putting for Collingwood against Melbourne. Ryder made 118, which is. is second century this season.
