A CLEAN-UP PROPOSED,

The fact that it had been allowed tq go as far as it had was n:great credit to those concerned, Tne Mayor’s personal view was that ! he existence of two controlling associations, had perhaps brought about rivalry the reverse of healthy, nnd that the sport would not be cleaned up until it was placed under one responsible body, as was the case with boxing. One member of the City Council, referring to the cancellation of he Pasha—Edwards bout, said “The game is getting too dirty. It 'toll have to he denned up.” AUCKLAND, October 17. The New Zealand Wrestling AssooL alien and the local branch of the Dominion of New Zealand Wrestling Union will enofi stage a match in Auckland on Monday. The former has matched Kostanoros and while the ex-servicemen have billed Edwards and McGill. The fight between the two bodies continues, .-nd they each say the other is opposed 1 o a merger such as lias been reported to have been arranged.
