SYDNEY, Oct. 16,
The Federal! Cabinet meeting ’ in Sydney, is giving further consideration to probleins of finance and federal public service - salaries. No Heoisi ions were reached upon any question, and it ‘is continuing to-morrow. lit is understood that the Ministry is seriously divided on the subject of public servants salary reduction and also upon the ibest' methods of meeting the growing deficit. . The' position is rendered more embarrassing by the insistent demand from within the Labour movement that drastic measures be taken to relieve unemployment. The Acting Prime Minister, Mr Fenton, declined to comment on the resolutions/ of the ' Federal Executive of the' Labour Party, cabled yesterday. •■/ ;•/ ;
