SEVEN-A-9IDE AT KUMAR A. The junior Rugby seven-a-side tournament for the Saraty Cup Was. played at Kumara on Saturday, and was a great success, there being a large attendance of the public, whilst the games were very evenly and keenly conteested in every case. After the tourney, Mr G. McEnaney presented the Saraty Cup to Mr Murtha, captain of the winning team. Following are the results.— Excelsiors beat Cobden A by eight points to nil. Kiwis beat Kumara B by ten points to three. Kumara A beat Cobden B by 6 points to three. Excelsiors beat Kiwis by three points to nil. In the final Kumara A boot Excelsiors by five points to three. BULKER SEASON CONCLUDES. \By Telegraph—Press Association). WESTPORT, October 12. The curtain was rung down on local football for the 1930 season on Saturday afternoon, when Stars, winners or the town division, defeated Ngakawau, winners of the country section in the final of the Albion Cup by 22 to 13. A curtain-raiser was supplied by Tech. High School, winners of the Foote Shield and Phillips Cup, and a combined Star and Old Boys’ team, Tech, winning by 14 to 3.
