BOWLING

The Hokitika Bowling Club will hold the formal opening of the season game on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o’clock to which a general invitation to attend is extended to all players and friends. Afternoon tea will be provided, the hostesses for the afternoon being Mesdames Breeze and King, wives of' the President and Vice-Pre- ' sklent .respectively. ; ’■? Bowlers will find the green in veiy fair order, with the promise of a very fine surface as the days grow warmer And more work is enabled to be put qn to the playing area, which has a fairly heavy sward at present. With the advript of summer time the green will he open for play every afternoon, and members are invited to put in plenty of practice and bring friends along.
