ATHLETES RETURN
'Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, October The Australian team which coir petfid at the Empire Games reached Sydney to-day. The manager, Mr Weir, paid a tribute to the liner Aorangi’s gymnasium, which enabled the athletes while on board to keep absolutely fit. He stated an attempt would be made to induce Simpson, who is visiting New Zealand,to come to Australia. Simpson, is willing, provided the New Zealand Association gives its consent. Mr Weir added that Simpson Is the finest ,220yds runner in the world to-day.
