LEAGUE ASSEMBLY ATTACKED. (Official Wireless). (Official Wireless.) (Received this day at 10 a.m) RUGBY, September 20. At the League Assembly to-day Lord Cecil made a vigorous attack on the dilatory methods of tli,e League in dealing with the slavery problem. He declared there were still about 5,000,000 slaves in the world. He complained that the proposal of the British delegation to the National Conference had been rejected by the committee and he deeply regretted that the League did not take more energetic, steps to deal with the .situation.
